About Us Services Program Calendar Resources Contact

We have called upon the Center for Congregational Health to assist with visioning, church assessment, pastor search, intentional interim pastorates, and even family retreats over the past ten years. The Center moved our church forward gently by carefully assessing where we were and where the members wanted to be. The Center's professionals coached us as church leaders to handle situations with the health of the entire congregation in mind. This scenario created a win-win for our church. The consultants at the Center for Congregational Health work diligently to know a church, its environment and its leadership personally. They realize the important nature of decisions made within a church and strive to engage the entire congregation.

As a lay leader, I would quickly recommend the Center for Congregational Health. Whether you are tackling small issues such as what to do with a particular ministry within your church or big issues such as conflict resolution, pastor search or visioning, the Center for Congregational Health can save you immeasurable time and energy. I personally am very thankful for the difference the Center has made at our church.

The Center is a fee-based ministry. Costs are calculated on the time spent with the congregation and/or its leaders. The fees are an important part of engaging the congregation. If the church is willing to pay a fee, the members are more likely to give their time to the process.

The standard fee for on-site consultation is $1,100 per day.  Churches are also responsible for all travel costs, meals, and accommodations for the consultant(s), and the cost of materials used in the consultation.  The standard fee may be reduced based on a variety of considerations including the size and resources of the congregation and the financial limitations of the Center.  The fees are outlined in a proposal and are negotiated between the individual church and the Center before the consultation begins.

Because of the generous support of our sponsors, the Center can offer some initial services to churches at no cost.  Currently, any church affiliated with the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina, or the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, qualify for these free initial services.
