RSS is a format for delivering regularly changing web content. Many news-related sites, weblogs and other online publishers syndicate their content as an RSS feed. Subscribers bypass visiting multiple sites to collect information by using RSS readers. RSS "readers" or "aggregators" grab RSS feeds from any site the subscriber chooses. A variety of readers are available for different platforms. Popular ones include Amphetadesk (Windows, Linux, Mac), FeedReader(WIndows), and NewsGator (Windows integrates with Outlook). There are also a number of web-based readers available, such as My Yahoo, Bloglines and Google Reader.
